The Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics, AIPFE Cyprus-Women of Europe and SciShops.eu co-organised the co-creation workshop “Breaking Barriers for Women in Science”.
Location: Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics
Date: 29th of October 2018
Time: 11:00am-1:00pm
During the workshop, we used a structured participatory co-creation process, with a diverse group of 30 stakeholders, from academia, business, non-profit organisations and the government who worked together to identify barriers faced by Cypriot women in science. One of the identified challenges was converted into a quantitative challenge, and an international team of researchers tackled it in collaboration with AIPFE Cyprus-Women of Europe during the 146th European Study Group with Industry/co-creation Event with Society. A detailed report was written summarising the results of the Study Group and related MSc projects were set up in Italy and Portugal by members of the team.
The project continues with the purpose of proposing appropriate data-driven recommendations to policy-makers. If you are interested in this project please get in touch.
